Advice for feeding picky eaters, and a good explanation of how and why the diet can work. Recipes include information on calories, protein, fiber, etc., per serving. The Autism Cookbook: 101 Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free Recipes by Susan K. Delaine, who has a child with autism and food allergies. Our favorite new cookbook for family dinners. Besides GFCF, recipes are free of rice, egg, soy, nuts and fish. Easy to prepare recipes for sesame-ginger chicken, Asian noodles, chicken enchiladas and gazpacho, among others. There are some toddler favorites such as chicken nuggets, crispy cereal treats and cupcakes, but the cookbook focuses on family foods.

Unraveling the Mystery of Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorder: A Mother's Story of Research and Recovery by Karyn Seroussi.
An excellent book for parents considering a gluten-free, casein-free diet for a child with autism or PDD. Seroussi's son recovered from autism by strictly adhering to this diet. She discusses food intolerances, yeast and vaccines.

Special Diets for Special Kids: Understanding and Implementing Special Diets to Aid in the Treatment of Autism and Related Developmental Disorders by Lisa Lewis, Ph.D. One of the first books to explain the gluten-free, casein-free diet and how it can help treat autism. Her explanation of the science behind the diet is not as easy to follow as Seroussi's. However, this book has more than 150 recipes for breads, cakes, candy, chili, macaroni and cheese, etc.

Special Diets for Special Kids, Two by Lisa Lewis, Ph.D. A sequel to her first book (above) with more than 175 new gluten-free, casein-free recipes and cooking tips. Recipes for peanut butter bread, bananaberry shake, oven fries, barbequed chicken pie and other foods that kids will eat.

Feast Without Yeast: 4 Stages to Better Health: A Complete Guide to Implementing Yeast Free, Wheat (Gluten) Free and Milk (Casein) Free Living by Bruce Semon M.D., Ph.D., and Lori Kornblum. Contains more than 200 original recipes. Good for those concerned about yeast overgrowth, a problem in some people with autism.

Special Diets for Special People: Understanding and Implementing a Gluten-Free and Casein-Free Diet to Aid in the Treatment of Autism and Related Developmental Disorders. The newest how-to book, with more than 150 recipes, by GFCF diet guru Lisa Lewis, Ph.D.

The Encyclopedia of Dietary Interventions for the Treatment of Autism and Related Disorders by diet gurus Karyn Seroussi and Lisa Lewis Ph.D. For the experienced diet follower, or for anyone who wants a reference guide to explain the research, terms, and principles behind different diets that are used for ASD.

Enzymes for Autism and other Neurological Conditions. Author and parent Karen L. DeFelice discusses the role of enzymes in helping people with autism digest foods that create problems for them. Some parents use enzymes alone, or in addition to a gluten-free, milk-free diet, or to handle diet infractions.

Sylvester Stallone enterra o filho e recebe doações para as pesquisas do Autismo

Sage Stallone foi velado neste sábado, 21, em Brentwood, na Califórnia. O ator Sylvester Stallone, pai de Sage, foi confortado por amigos e familiares, que se despediram do diretor de cinema em um funeral privado na igreja de Saint Martin of Tours. Segundo site TMZ, Stallone estava acompanhado da mulher, Jennifer Flavin, e do irmão, Frank Stallone.
Sasha Czack, mãe de Sage, pediu que em vez de flores fossem feitas doações para a entidade Autism Speaks, que ajuda na pesquisa sobre o autismo. O irmão caçula de Sage, Seargeoh, é autista.
De acordo com o jornal “Daily Mail”, depois da cerimônia na igreja, o caixão de Sage foi levado para o cemitério Westwood Village Memorial Park, em Los Angeles, onde ele será enterrado.
Em entrevista ao site TMZ, no dia 16, Stallone disse estar devastado com a perda: “Não há dor maior do que a perda de um filho. Portanto, imploro às pessoas para respeitarem a memória do meu talentoso filho e que tenham compaixão com a mãe dele, Sasha. A dor agonizante dessa perda será sentida por toda a nossa vida. Sage foi nosso primeiro filho e o centro do nosso universo. Estou humildemente implorando para que deixem a memória e a alma do meu filho em paz”, disse Sylvester Stallone
Sage foi encontrado morto em seu apartamento na sexta-feira, 13, pela namorada. A autópsia no corpo do ator foi concluída no domingo, 15, mas em entrevista à CNN, um representante do delegado disse que a polícia precisará de mais dois meses para determinar a causa da morte de Sage. Isso porque o resultado do exame toxicológico só deve sair daqui a seis semanas.
Especula-se que Sage tenha morrido por overdose de medicamentos, mas seu advogado e amigo George Braunstein disse que o filho de Stallone nunca deu sinais de que fazia uso ou de que era viciado em remédios controlados, e que ele não costumava beber.
Início da carreira ao lado do pai
Sage Stallone estreou no cinema ao lado do pai em 1990 em “Rocky 5″, quando fez o papel do filho do lutador.
Sage trabalhava como diretor de cinema e atuou no filme “Daylight”, em 1996. Stallone, que tem mais quatro filhos (Sargeoh, Sophia, Sistine e Scarlet), estaria arrasado com a morte de Sage. Sage era filho de Sasha Czac, primeira mulher de Stallone, assim como Sargeoh. Já Sophia, Sistine e Scarlet são filhas da segunda mulher do ator, Jennifer Flavin.
